This was a quick side task that was requested internally as a part of our affiliation with Gatehouse Media (later Gannett) as they would often utilize our department when they needed quick turnaround prototyping, design, or web work.
One of their products, a mobile app startup called “TapOnIt!”, would alert users to deals based on their location and chosen interests. You can learn more about TapOnIt! on their website here. In preparation for ad campaigns to bring in new users they planned to use striking landing pages as the funnel point in those campaigns. When someone clicks on an ad they should be directed to a signup page but should also be able to click to view details of some promotions (requiring sign-up to receive the coupon code). Also, just in case anything did not link properly with these business-submitted promotions we also scaffolded out a 404 error page that would still be useful.
This task was purely to get their internal developers over the writer’s block of figuring out the structure and functionality so they could get started on the actual construction. We were not involved in the development process beyond wireframing.
